The project’s third transnational project meeting was held at the University for Continuing Education Krems on 21-23 November 2022. The meeting was attended by 12 members ofr the SHEFCE project team from 8 partners institutions from Ireland, Croatia, Spain, Belgium and Austria: the Institute for the Development of Education, the Association of Catalan Public Universities, Mary Immaculate College, Technological University Dublin, the University for Continuing Education Krems, University of Girona, University of Rijeka and Free University of Brussels.
The aim of the meeting to confirm progress and plan remaining activities in all of the SHEFCE intellectual outputs, with a special emphasis on the results of policy analyses and policy recommendations for enhancing community engagement in higher education. The analyses focused on the higher education systems of Austria, Croatia and Ireland, and on regional systems in Catalonia (Spain) and Flanders (Belgium). The meeting also included round table discussions on community engagement with Masters students from around the world taking part in the Erasmus Mundus MARIHE programme focused on higher education.
